Introduction
Södra Teatern is one of Stockholm’s oldest cultural venues, offering concerts, theatre, club nights, dining, and event spaces across its main units: Kägelbanan, Mosebacketerrassen, Klubben, and Stora Scen. Despite sharing the same history and location, these parts lacked a unified visual identity, resulting in a fragmented overall brand.
Challange
The venue’s sub-units communicated with separate styles, creating confusion for visitors and diminishing brand recognition in a competitive cultural landscape. The challenge was to develop a cohesive design strategy that connects all units, reflects Södra Teatern’s heritage, and strengthens its contemporary presence.
results
The project resulted in a unified graphic identity system that ties all parts of Södra Teatern together while preserving their individual character. The new strategy enhances clarity, boosts recognizability, and reinforces the venue’s position as a relevant and historically significant cultural hub.
